Alfa-Bank has been voted Best Bank in Russia by Global Finance for four consecutive years. According to Global Finance, Alfa-Bank, Russia's largest private bank, is notable for its effective combination of Western and Russian management. In addition, as part of a strategy to develop a global banking business, Alfa-Bank acquired Amsterdam Trade Bank in 2001 which now provides standard and tailor-made products for Russia-related trade and project finance, investments and international settlements.
Alfa-Bank's corporate finance department is headed by Mr. Alexandr Tolchinsky, Member of the Executive Board. Trade and project finance department is headed by Mr.Valery Lukin, Senior vice-president.

Global Finance editors — with input from end users, analysts, corporate reports and other expert sources — selected the best banks on variety of criteria, both objective and subjective.
