Retail banking is a strategic priority for Alfa-Bank. In 2004, the Bank started to expand its retail operations through an extensive branch network. Implementation of its strategic plans aimed to broaden the customer base and widen the range of financial services. Presently, Alfa-Bank’s retail network comprises 30 offices in Moscow and 229 branches in the regions and abroad, including bank subsidiaries in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and in the Netherlands. In addition, the Bank has representative offices in Great Britain and in the USA.
Currently, Alfa-Bank’s individual clients exceed 2.4 million. The services offered to retail customers include:

- Deposit box rentals
- Cross-selling of products (insurance, mutual funds, etc)
In addition to providing traditional financial services, Alfa-Bank’s retail outlets offer a wide range of remote banking services, including ATMs, Internet Banking (Alfa Click), Alfa Mobile, Alfa Cheque account management, and a direct telephone link with the Alfa Consultant call centre. The Bank’s advanced technology provides it with a competitive advantage in an environment where the value of transactional convenience is becoming truly appreciated by customers.
Alfa-Bank’s strategic focus is on further expansion of its product range and enhanced marketing initiatives. In 2005, Alfa-Bank implemented a successful rebranding campaign and adopted Á new corporate style designed to appeal more to the changing lifestyle and preferences of its clients. Improving the quality of existing services and developing new products in line with the demanding requirements of the financial market, as well as implementing an innovative «banking supermarket» concept, are among Alfa-Bank’s top priorities for product development.
Alfa-Bank is a principal member of international payment systems Visa and MasterCard International, and therefore issues Á variety of plastic cards of these systems under its own brand name. Particularly successful are Alfa-Bank’s co-branded card projects with Aeroflot and Cosmopolitan. The joint project offered to frequent travellers by Alfa-Bank and Aeroflot Russian Airlines, was acknowledged as one of the co-branding winners among MasterCard’s European partners in 2006. Alfa-Bank was a pioneer in the launch of the first women’s co-branded card with Cosmopolitan magazine. The card entitles its holders to attractive discounts in the most fashionable boutiques and cafés.
Alfa-Bank joined the State Insurance Program for individual deposits, which creates an important additional guarantee of stability for our clients.
